"I just want to let you know that that fourth person was our mum who we loved and were very proud to have as a mother.

"Mum was not just a statistic she was a woman who had unbelievable strength and suffered many challenges in her life

"Unfortunately this was one she was not going to overcome."

Brenda added: "I want to thank everyone in the care system for all they have done for my mum over the years - they have helped us to keep her at home.

"I also want to thank the NHS staff over these last few weeks and the care they have given my mum and what they have shown to her is unbelievable.

"To those of you out there who are being so selfish and gathering in crowds - wise up, how selfish can you be?"

Brenda continued: "We are not going to see mum at the celebration of her life - that day will come and we will celebrate mummy's life.

"We couldn't be with her when she passed, we won't see her in her coffin and give her a kiss, but I know we did all that when it mattered and that was when mummy was alive."

There are currently 148 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Northern Ireland.
