The Corriewood Private Clinic in Casltewellan has been closed to visitors for the last two weeks because of the risk posed by COVID-19 to older and vulnerable people.

In a bid to show the families of friends of loved ones living in the nursing home how their relatives were doing the staff helped with the recording of a video showing some of the people living there singing 1985 hit 'We Are The World'.

In the video, some of the residents can be seen holding up pieces of paper showing the lyrics to the song.

On the back of each piece of paper is a brightly coloured heart.

Nursing home staff also took part in the video.

"From all of us to all of you - We are the world," wrote Corriewood Private Clinic on its official Facebook page.

Many people with loved ones living in the nursing home described the video as "extremely moving" and some were left in tears.
