NI death-toll continues to rise after 11 Covid-19 related deaths in last 24 hours

The Department of Health (DoH) has reported an additional 11 Covid-19 related deaths occurred in Northern Ireland in the 24 hours to 10am on Tuesday.

One week ago (Tuesday November 3) there were 413 patients in hospital with Covid-19 however in the latest statistics released by the DoH this number has risen to 420.

While there was a week-on-week reduction in the number of new infections (570 on November 3 and 514 on November 10) there was an increase in the daily number of deaths.

Six Covid-19 related deaths were reported by DoH on November 3 however on November 10 the department reported an additional 11 Covid-19 related deaths in the 24 hours to 10.00am on Tuesday.

The total number of Covid-19 related deaths recorded in Northern Ireland since the beginning of the pandemic is now 802.

Of the 11 people who sadly passed away five people were over the age of 80 years-old; five people aged between 60 and 79 and one aged between 40 and 59.

Six of the 11 people to pass away were male and five were female.
