NI death toll rises to 10 after three more people die - 32 new COVID-19 cases confirmed too

The number of people to have died in Northern Ireland has risen to 10 after three more people died in the last 24 hours, the Public Health Agency (PHA) has confirmed.

No additional details concerning the three recently deceased people have been released yet.

Testing also identified 32 new patients who all tested positive for COVID-19.

The total number of positive cases in Northern Ireland now stands at 241.

News of the three new deaths comes at the same time Health Minister, Robin Swann, said he does not know what state the healthcare system will be in in Northern Ireland next week.

“I don’t know what the health service will look like in a week’s time,” Minister Swann told a Stormont health committee on Thursday.

“The surge plans are in place to do what we have to do.

“To give any sort of commitment now that we will return 100% to where we were two months ago – I can’t give it. I won’t give it, because I can’t stand over it.”
