Fundraiser launched to help family of tragic Aaron Doherty

The 17-year-old, who was from the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, died last week.

He is the youngest person to die in Northern Ireland within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19.

A friend of the Doherty family who knew Aaron well described him as a “great wee lad who had the best smile you would ever see”.

The GoFundme started a day ago by Stephen Porter has already raised £895 - the proposed target was £500.
