Top BBC presenter thanks 'wonderful and selfless anonymous donor' who gives him kidney

BBC Sports presenter Stephen Watson has thanks the anonymous donor who allowed him the chance of a successful kidney tranplant.

On social media, Stephen says he is "delighted to say I’ve had a successful kidney transplant".

"Thanks to the wonderful & selfless anonymous donor who’s given me another chance, & to the world class transplant team in BCH for giving me the opportunity to write this post.

"I’m feeling great - back on BBC soon!"

He also thanks his surgeon Tim Brown - who also carried out his first kidney transplant.

He adds: "Also thanks to surgeon Tim Brown, all on level 11, the entire nephrology, theatre, dialysis & interventional radiology teams, plus the fantastic nurses & healthcare staff who looked after me 24/7.

"Siobhan Reilly nursed me 30 years ago for my 1st transplant & again this time!"
