A special self-help centre for the disabled was officially opened at Musgrave Park Hospital in June 1981 by Lady Dunleath. A permanent display at the centre showed the range of aids available. The equipment on show had been either lent by firms or had been donated by voluntary groups. With Lady Dunleath are Mr William James, orthopaedic surgeon, Miss Gwyneth Blayney, occupational therapist, and Sir Thomas Brown, chairman of the Eastern Health Board.
