Fantastic response to appeal for Mid Ulster food bank

The parish of Kildress surely put their shoulder to the wheel in support of the food bank appeal.

The appeal was set up by Des Keenan and his daughter Aisling Conway, to support the food bank in Cookstown, run by Aron Mc Gonigle of Energy, Mind and Body.

Loughran’s shop in Dunnamore and Kildress Filling Station, were very generous in allowing collections to take place at their premises, and also made generous donations.

A special word of thanks to Dan and Orla Keenan of Braeside Eggs and Mickey Smith who donated eggs, fruit and vegetables to help fill up food parcels. Organisers also want to thank all the people who donated money and food to this worthy cause. A large trailer of food and over £300 was delivered the next day to the food bank in Molesworth Street in Cookstown. A willing team of volunteers organised the food parcels to be delivered to the needy immediately.
