Survey into childcare in lockdown
Were you juggling naptime for little ones with zoom calls?
Or, were you on furlough, annual leave or even unpaid leave during this difficult time?
Employers For Childcare is carrying out a new survey in Northern Ireland specifically exploring parents’ experiences of childcare during COVID-19, and how this has impacted on their ability to work.

Hide AdAoife Hamilton, from Employers For Childcare, said: “Childcare was very much in the public eye during COVID-19 and we heard our politicians reinforce just how important it is to the economy, and to society more broadly. But now we need to present policy-makers with the evidence directly from parents – what they are telling us every day about how they
found accessing, and paying for childcare, over the past unprecedented few months, and how this has impacted on their ability to work.
“We are calling on all parents in Northern Ireland to take five minutes to complete this short survey. We will use the information given to us by parents to inform our work in campaigning for increased investment in our childcare infrastructure and better support for families with accessing affordable childcare”.
All those who complete the survey, will be entered into a draw to win a £50 shopping voucher.
The survey is available on the Employers For Childcare website www.employersforchildcare.org, and closes on Friday. October 2.
