Tesco recognised the difficulties experienced by many in the area due to Covid-19 restrictions and donated some of their produce just in time for that perfect New Year’s Day Dinner.

Army Cadets from Cullybackey and Ballymena Detachment were on hand to distribute the food items around the village. Despite the wintery weather the cadets “soldiered” on and quickly got the job done. Messages of appreciation have already been received from those who got parcels.

Elizabeth Steede of CPP said: “I would like to thank Ronny McFall, Tesco Community Champion and Tesco, Ballymena, for providing food items.

“A special thank you to Cullybackey and Ballymena Army Cadet Force, who were called in at short notice to distribute the bags.”
