A hero's welcome for Frampton - and how he deserves it!

Carl Frampton returned home to a hero's welcome Belfast tonight, just as the City Hall was lighting up green and white in his honour!

The Tigers Bay fighter, now unified super-bantamweight champion of the world after his victory over Scott Quigg, arrived home on a flight from Manchester shortly after tea-time.

The 29-year-old defeated Quigg in a split decision in front of 20,000 fans, the majority of whom appeared to be from Northern Ireland.

Frampton has received congratulations from across the world, with First Minister Arlene Foster and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness both saluting his achievement.

Belfast City Hall was lit up in green and white from 6pm on Sunday.
