Alleged hammer attack took place in broad daylight in Belfast
A man in his 20s was assaulted by a number of men allegedly brandishing hammers in Belfast on Sunday.
Details have just emerged of the incident which happened at around 3pm in Friendly Street.
The injured party was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Detectives have appealed for information.
