Appeal over city centre armed robbery

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Belfast City Centre this morning (Saturday).

Two males, one armed with a knife, entered the shop on Castle Street at around 10.25am and demanded money from staff.

The two males made their escape with a sum of money.

One of the males is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, 6ft 2 and of slim build. He was wearing a black and grey coat, dark tracksuit bottoms.

The second male is also described as being in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 8 and of slim build. He was wearing tracksuit bottoms, a grey and black coat, and had a cap on. He was also wearing dark blue trainers.

Detective Sergeant Wilson is appealing for anyone with information to contact police at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 447/02/12.
