Ballymiscaw Young Farmers' Club celebrate anniversary

On Saturday 6th February, Ballymiscaw Young Farmers' Club celebrated its 70th anniversary by holding a celebratory dinner.

The dinner was a huge success with over 250 past and current members, friends and family filling the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel.

The night consisted of Terence McKeag acting as compere introducing speeches from the club’s president Brian McCracken, current club leader Stephen Speers and YFCU president Roberta Simmons.

The speeches concluded with an informative interview with past member and BBC news presenter Karen Patterson, who praised the club for enjoyable teenage memories as well as important life skills.

The evening concluded with music and a traditional ceilidh giving everyone a chance to wind down and catch up with some old, familiar faces.
