Bangor woman, 81, who went missing dies in hospital
Jean McAllister (81), who went missing from her home in Bangor last night, (Thursday, February 9) has died in hospital, police have confirmed.
Inspector Stephen McGuigan said: “Mrs McAllister was found this afternoon near to where she went missing in the Ashbury area of the town.
“We would pay tribute to local residents and the Community Rescue Service who worked so hard to find Mrs McAllister.
“Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.”
Earlier today police issued an appeal for residents in the Ashbury area of Bangor to check their gardens or sheds to help assist in the search for Jean.
