Police are treating a blaze at a Jewish WWII memorial off the Shankill Road in Belfast as a hate crime.

The PSNI said rubbish was set alight at the Northumberland St mural around 1.30am onThursday and the Fire Service put the blaze out.

Police are appealing for information.

Pastor Paul Burns of Adullam Christian Fellowship said it had been a deliberate anti-semitic attack.
