Big Band Festival launch cancelled as mark of respect to Ryan McBride
The City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival launch scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Whittaker Suite has been cancelled as a mark of respect following the sudden death last night of Derry City FC captain Ryan McBride.
Details of the cancellation have just been released by Derry City and Strabane District Council.
In the statement they say their offices on Strand Road in the city will be lit up Red tonight in memory of Ryan and to mark the first anniversary of the Buncrana Pier Tragedy.
