“We have had support from the critical incident team,” she said. “When we told Jodie-Lee’s year group and form class we gave them time to talk together about her. We gave them space and support.

“Their form teacher and head of year have been working closely with the girls and will continue to do that.

“The staff here who all knew Jodie well are shocked and saddened by this. We want to offer our sincerest condolences to the family. The whole school community has been so shocked.”

“She loved her Justin Bieber pencil case and dreamed of the singer being there on her wedding day,” she said. “She loved her clothes, her make up and her style. And she was a huge Derry City fan.”

Mrs Lindsay revealed how yesterday she had spoken to Louise James, Jodie-Lee’s sister, whose mother, partner and two sons also died in the tragedy.

“She was unbelievably strong and concerned for the young people in the three schools and how they were coping,” she said.
