Fivemiletown based, Scott’s Bakery, has secured a national deal with Asda to supply a 12 pack of Halloween themed ‘Creepy Cupcakes’ to 385 of the retailer’s stores across the UK.

The family run bakery, which has produced Asda own brand small cakes for 10 years, is consolidating its business with the retailer.

Asda currently lists 24 lines produced by Scott’s and the bakery has seen an increase in sales growth from its business with Asda by up to 40% annually.

The business was established in 1968 and currently employs more than 200 people to produce cakes which are sold all over the UK and Ireland.

“As a family-run business we are exceptionally proud of our valued employees who strive to ensure quality, service, value and efficiency in terms of product development - which is central to serving our customers,” said product manager Catherine Dorrity.

“It is fantastic to extend our business with Asda on a national level – and it’s testament to the integrity of our products.

Michael McCallion, Asda buying manager for NI, said: “Scott’s Bakery has supplied seasonal cakes to Asda for several years now and we’re delighted to continue the strong partnership we have developed with them as a local supplier.

“The ‘Creepy Cupcakes’ are an excellent addition to our Halloween range and it will be great to see their much-loved products in many more of our stores.”
