Co Down arson attacks damage car and house
A car and a house have been damaged in arson attacks in Kilkeel.
It is believed a petrol bomb was thrown at a vehicle in Newry Street shortly after 2.20am on Wednesday.
Just over an hour later, an unoccupied house in Carn Gardens was also targeted. The living room window was smashed and rubbish was set alight, police said.
Fire crews were called to extinguish both blazes.
SDLP MP Margaret Ritchie condemned “these two wanton and reckless attacks, which could have endangered lives”.
