Controlled explosion during bomb alert at west Belfast PSNI station

A security alert at a police station in west Belfast has now ended.

The Army attended Woodbourne station and carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious object.

It has since been declared to be an elaborate hoax.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The nearby Stewartstown Road has re-opened to traffic, and residents of four houses that were evacuated are now able to return to their homes.
