Ballymena Magistrates' Court was told the defendant turned up at the house with a bottle of whiskey and tried to enter but the victim didn't want him to come in and closed the door.

McKeown then tapped the whiskey bottle on the window and then used more force and the window smashed.

He then smashed other windows, totalling six windows. No price for the damage was provided to the court. A defence solicitor said a "house party got out of control". He said: "They were all drinking heavily together. An argument broke out. Mr McKeown says he was attacked and received a stab wound to his hand and under the influence of drink and drugs lost self-control and attacked the windows of the property. "There is an abuse of prescription drugs and alcohol, a lethal combination". The defendant was given an Enhanced Combination Order of 18 months Probation and 75 hours Community Service.
