Larne goalkeeper fined in court for speeding on the day of a match
An Irish League footballer was caught speeding on the day of a match.
Larne Football Club goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson was detected doing 56mph in a 40mph zone on Friday August 29 last year.

On that day he played against Ballymena in a 2-0 home league win. The excess speed case was dealt with at Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The defendant, with an address listed as Hillhouse Avenue in Bathgate in Scotland, was not present at court but had entered a plea of guilty by post.
The location or time of day of the speeding detection was not outlined to the court.
The court was told the defendant, who has also played for Airdrie, Motherwell, Queen of the South and Linfield, had originally been offered a fixed penalty notice but had not taken it up in time.
He has now received three penalty points; a £60 fine and there is also a £15 'offender levy'.
