Man accused of Co Down armed robbery due in court
A man accused of armed robbery in Co Down is to appear in court tomorrow (2nd).
The 40-year-old man was arrested following an incident at a commercial premises on Newcastle’s Main Street on Sunday. He has been charged with robbery and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and is expected to appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for the PSNI stated that as is normal procedure, all charges he faces will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
