Car badly damaged after object thrown from footbridge onto NI road

Car occupants were lucky not to have been injured after an object was thrown over a footbridge onto a busy NI road.

Police have appealed for witnesses after the attack on Lake Road Craigavon.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information regarding an incident which occurred at around 7pm on Tuesday 8th December.

“An unknown person threw an object from the footbridge over Lake Road, Craigavon between roundabouts two and three smashing the front windscreen of a white Vauxhall Astra.

“The occupants were very fortunate not to be injured or involved in a serious crash.

“Anyone with any information regarding this is incident is urged to contact Lurgan PSNI quoting reference number 1618 08/12/20
