Coronavirus: Police disperse 300 teens across Larne and Carrick
Police have issued an appeal to parents after officers were tasked to deal with crowds of young people across east Antrim on Friday night.
Police say the majority of the teens had met up for ‘end of year parties.’
The incidents follow similar anti-social behaviour across the district on Thursday evening.
Urging parents to be vigilant and tell their children about the dangers of the current coronavirus outbreak, a PSNI spokesperson said: “95 per cent of the young people we encountered were polite, respectful and headed home when we explained the dangers of social gatherings.

“The seriousness of the situation will only increase every day. Stay in the house unless you must leave for work or an essential journey.
“Observe social distancing practices. Wash your hands regularly. Explain all of this to your children
“Don’t put yourself or others at risk.”
