Couple escape injury in petrol bombing at home | left ‘badly shaken’ after attack

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of an incident where a petrol bomb was thrown at a house shortly before 00:35am.
A PSNI statement said it was reported that a petrol bomb was thrown at the rear window of a house in the Donegore Drive area.

Hide AdDamage was caused to the outer pane of the window, with smoke damage also reported to an outside wall close to the window of the property.


The fire from the object had burnt itself out upon arrival of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service to the scene.
The statement added that a man and woman, both in their 40s were inside the property during the incident and although not injured were both left badly shaken.
Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 65 31/08/20.
