Substantial quantity of jewellery, including rings and necklaces stolen during early morning burglary of NI business

Detectives are investigating a burglary at premises in Upper Ballinderry area of Lisburn during the early hours of yesterday (Monday 9th December)

Detective Sergeant Cowan said: "We received a report at 10.55am that entry had been forced to the premises on Lower Ballinderry Road, and that damage had been caused to the front door of the business.

"It's believed the burglary occurred sometime between 4am and 5.30am yesterday.

"The suspect fled with a substantial amount of jewellery, including rings, necklaces and other items.

"We believe the suspect may have taken some time to gain entry to the business, and so we are appealing to passing motorists who may have been in the area and have a dash cam to check their footage.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and noticed any suspicious activity, including persons or vehicles being driven in a suspicious manner to get in touch with us.

“I would also urge anyone who is offered jewellery for sale in suspicious circumstances to call us, or anyone with information about this crime to call 101, quoting reference number 542 of 09/12/19."
