Glasgow attack not terror related say police - suspect shot dead by armed police and six people left in hospital
A police officer was injured during the attack and has been taken to hospital.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has tweeted: “The reports from Glasgow city centre are truly dreadful. My thoughts are with everyone involved. I am being updated as the situation becomes clearer. Please help the emergency services do their jobs by staying away from the area — and please don’t share unconfirmed information.”

Hide AdAssistant Chief Constable Steve Johnson said: "The individual who was shot by armed police has died.
"Six other people are in hospital for treatment to their injuries including a police officer, who is in a critical but stable condition.
"We are continuing to deal with the incident on West George Street #Glasgow and would ask people to avoid the area.
"However, I would like to reassure the public that this is a contained incident and that the wider public is not at risk.

Scottish National Party MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, Mhairi Black appealed for everyone on the ground to "please stay safe".
"Glasgow is a wonderful city in great pain today. Please stay safe," she said.
Labour leader Sir. Keir Starmer described the incident as "extremely concerning".
