Knife pulled on woman as thieves hijack A-Class Mercedes

Police in Dungannon are investigating a hijacking in the town centre this afternoon.

A 30-year-old woman was threatened by two men armed with a knife.

She was pulled from her white Mercedes A Class in Union Place at around 5.45pm.

The pair then made off in the car in the direction of Greers Road.

The driver was “extremely shaken” by the ordeal, said police.

The hijackers are described as one being in his 40s or 50s and the other in his 20s and both wearing hoodies.

Police are asking anyone who sees the car, registration OY1 4XPP, or who knows the whereabouts or identity of the suspects to contact police by calling 101, quoting reference 1573 07/10/20.
