Man (68) arrested after suspected drugs found by PSNI

A 68-year-old man has been arrested in Lurgan on suspicion of possessing and dealing drugs.

Police said a significant amount of cash was also found on Thursday after a property was searched following the arrest.

The PSNI said: “Whilst on community patrol earlier, officers from Lurgan Neighbourhood Policing Team had reason to stop and search a vehicle and occupant resulting in a 68 year old male being arrested on suspicion of Possession of Class A substance, Possession with intent to supply a Class A substance and Possession of Criminal property.

“During a follow up search of a linked property we also seized a significant amount of cash.

“The male is presently assisting us with our enquiries at Banbridge Police station.
