Man arrested after 57 puppies rescued in crime probe is charged

The 44-year-old man arrested in Belfast Harbour estate after 57 puppies, 3 adult dogs and 1 cat were seized in an organised crime operation on Tuesday 2nd August has been charged with five counts of fraud by false misrepresentation, acquiring criminal property and possession of articles used in frauds.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday 4th August.

As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
