Member of public rings PSNI asking for help finding their mobile phone
A member of the public contacted the PSNI on Thursday afternoon asking them to help find their mobile phone.
The individual told police they could not remember where in their house they had left their phone and asked the PSNI to ring the phone and they would listen out for it.
"We've just had someone in Mid Ulster phone us to say they couldn't remember where they'd set their mobile in the house.
"Asked us to phone it and they'd listen out for it ringing.
"Think about that for a moment."
The PSNI added: "A spectacular waste of a call handlers time.
"Let's keep 101 and 999 for genuine calls!"
