'Miraculous' escape from injury for driver after failing to stop for police - 'can you see the car?'

A driver miraculously escaped injury after driving a car into this precarious position in a NI park.

Everything is revealed on Police Antrim & Newtownabbey Facebook site where they post: "It was another busy and eventful shift for Newtownabbey LPT officers last night.

"Can anyone see the car? Can you tell where it is?

"Yes. It's Glen Park. This is where one chap miraculously ended up after failing to stop for Police.

"It's quite incredible that no one was hurt and one male is in custody for a string of offences.

"Were you in the area of Glenville Road/Park or the Shore Road last night around 11pm? Did you witness a black Vauxhall Corsa in the area? We know there were pedestrians and dog walkers so if you did happen to come across this vehicle please give us a call on 101 quoting reference number 2293 of 25/4/20. We would be keen to hear from you.

"We need to take and keep these dangerous drivers off our roads. Looking at the photo again it's a miracle no one was hurt, especially any innocent bystanders."
