New appeal to mum of waste depot baby
The baby girl’s remains were discovered by a worker at the Greenstar waste plant outside Bray, Co Wicklow, while he was sorting rubbish on May 4.
She was later named Alannah and laid to rest at Redford cemetery in nearby Greystones.

Hide AdThree months on, Superintendent Pat Ward, who is in charge of the investigation, has reissued his appeal for the baby’s mother to seek help.
“I am concerned for the welfare of baby Alannah’s mum,” he said.
“She is most likely in an anxious state of mind and in need of medical assistance.”
He added: “I appeal to mum to immediately seek medical treatment. Myself or Sergeant Sorcha Fitzpatrick are available at Bray Garda Station to provide assistance to mum and dad.
“We will handle any contact discreetly and sensitively”.
A post-mortem examination on the baby’s remains found no signs of injury.
