NI pair using jet skis issued with Coronavirus fines by PSNI

Police contacted the Coastguard Operation Centre (CGOC) Belfast Coastguard after they received reports of two people on jet skis not adhering to legislation designed to slow down the spread of the lethal COVID-19 disease.
"We tasked Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team to investigate, which resulted in locating the two jet ski’s at Millisle," said CGOC Belfast Coastguard.

Hide Ad"Advice was issued by coastguard and fines issued by police," confirmed the coastguard.
The CGOC Belfast Coastguard repeated the government advice to people to observe the instruction of the government during the Coronavirus crisis.
"Again, please stay at home. Coastguard will continue to assist police with dispersing people using the coast as a recreational area during this pandemic."
Meanwhile, the PSNI issued fines after they broke up a house party in the Newtownabbey area on Tuesday.

Hide AdOn Monday, two women were issued with fines near the village of Clady in Co. Tyrone after a car evaded the Garda Síochána checkpoint in Lifford Co. Donegal.
At the time of publishing 140 people had died in Northern Ireland after testing positive for COVID-19.
