Part of PSNI base which houses murder archive and forensic services closed due to health and safety concerns
The complex, which is not open to the public, includes several different functions including transport services, Murder Archive, Forensic Services NI and equipment stores.
Mark McNaughten, Temporary Director of Finance & Support Services and Human Resources for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said: “Following a recent survey by structural engineers examining roofing across a number of ageing buildings on the site, a decision was taken to proactively close some areas within the Seapark Complex as a precautionary health and safety measure.

“Business continuity plans will ensure that the impact on service delivery is minimised.
“Other teams located in the newer accommodation blocks within the complex will continue to operate on the site as normal.”
