Police appeal for info after Co Down afternoon burglary
Police have appealed for witnesses and information after a house was burgled on Monday afternoon (12th).
A house on Oldfort Park in a suburban part of Moira, Co Down, was broken into and ransacked, the culprit or culprits making off with a quantity of cash.
The PSNI said the break-in was discovered at 6.45pm, but likely took place between 2.45pm and 6.15pm that day.
Thieves got in by smashing the property’s back patio door, said Detective Inspector Keon, and police ask anyone who was in the area over that time and saw anything suspicious to contact them using non-emergency phone number 101.
Added DI Keon: “We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who might have any CCTV, dash-cam or other footage.
“You can also submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org."
