Police ‘crack’ eggs case after car stopped and youths spoken to

It follows reports of homes being attacked with eggs in areas of Portadown.

A police spokesman said: “Over the last couple of weeks we had reports of homes being egged in the Derryall, Derrymacfall, and Derrycarne Road areas of Portadown.

“Last night (Friday, May 29) police stopped and searched a car load of young males from the Portadown area in the town using specific search powers.

“They did find evidence of drug use but also found a half box of eggs.

“Disclosures were made and a few parents will now be spoken too regarding their ASB, egging and Covid regulations.”
