Police hunt knife wielding man who masked face with Liverpool FC scarf during fast food outlet robbery

The PSNI is hunting a man who used a Liverpool FC scarf to cover his face during an armed robbery in the early hours of Wednesday.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who have witnessed the alleged armed robbery of a premises in the Falls Road area of west Belfast.

Detective Sergeant Stephen Gardiner described the incident as "nasty" and one which left the "victim badly shaken".

"We received a report just after 1:30am that a man, armed with a knife, had entered a fast food outlet and fled with a sum of money and a set of car keys.

"I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw the suspect, who is described as having worn a Liverpool football scarf over his face and was dressed in black, to get in touch.

"This was a nasty incident which has left the victim badly shaken.

“Enquiries are under way, and I am appealing to anyone with information about this incident to call 101, quoting reference number 62 of 12/02/20, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111," said DS Gardiner.
