Police probing Ballymena theft ask for anyone offered tools for sale 'in unusual circumstances' to come forward
Police probing the theft of tools from a trailer outside a Ballymena house have asked anyone who has been offered any for sale “in unusual circumstances” to tell officers.
It was reported that the crime happened shortly after 11am on Wednesday morning, in Ashbourne Manor to the east of the Co Antrim town.
A white vehicle, either a Vauxhall Grandland or Frontera, was seen in the area at the time of the theft, leaving in the direction of Woodbourne Road.
PSNI Constable McDonald said: "We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around this time to contact police.
“We’d be particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or other footage.
“Additionally, if you have been offered any tools for sale in unusual circumstances, please let us know."
Anyone with any information is asked to call non-emergency phone number 101, quoting reference number 1196 of 07/05/26. Reports can also be made online or anonymously to charity Crimestoppers.
