PSNI seize items in fresh raid targeting alleged 'extreme right-wing' offending in Northern Ireland
PSNI detectives have seized items in a raid by detectives investigating “right-wing extremism,” the force has said.
Members of the Terrorism Investigation Unit carried out a search operation today “in the west Belfast area” (they did not specify where).

The PSNI said in a statement: “Items were seized from two properties as a result of the searches, including six mobile phones.
“The items, which were seized in connection with a wider investigation into right-wing extremism, will now be taken away for further forensic examination.
“As we continue to investigate, we would appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist with enquiries to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 483 05/11/26.
“Any information you may have could be useful to assist us, and can also be reported using the online reporting form via https://reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals.”
It also added that information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org .
Seperately, some 17 improvised explosive devices and two detonators were recovered last week in an investigation linked to what the PSNI said was “extreme right-wing terrorism”.
A man has since been charged in relation to that investigation.
Speaking at a meeting of the Policing Board in Belfast today about the threat level in general, chief constable Jon Boutcher had said “there is an increase in extreme, right-wing activity… we’ve seen that across the island of Ireland and across the islands of the United Kingdom”.
