Public asked to report ‘anything out of ordinary’ after suspicious blaze at back of NI home

Shortly before 1am today (Tuesday, 27th April), police received a report about a fire in the back garden of a property in Dunville Link.

Officers from NIFRS attended - noone was in the property at the time - but ‘minor damage’ was caused to the property.

Detective Constable Kennedy said: “The cause of the fire is under investigation and anyone with information which may assist our enquiries is asked to get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone who was in the area between midnight and 12:50am and saw anything suspicious, or out of the ordinary, to call us. The number to phone is 101, and quote reference number 43 of 27/04/21.”
