The force had been responding to a report of shots fired, but after combing the area were unable to produce anything to support that claim.
Police would not give details on the nature of the report they received about the gunfire.

In addition, an operation for a supposedly suspicious object in the Shore Path area of the town likewise turned up nothing.
Chief Inspector Robert McGowan said: “Police received a report at 2pm on Monday 15th March that a number of shots had been fired at the police station, and that a suspicious device had been left in the Shore Path area.
“A thorough search and proactive policing operation was carried out, with nothing untoward found in the Shore Path area, and no reports of any shots fired at the police station.

“We would appeal to anybody with any information to assist with our enquiries and get in touch by 101 and quoting reference number 1012 of 15/03/21.”
Meanwhile police have asked the public in Fermanagh to be vigilant in the wake of a separate report, received at the weekend, that there was a bomb left “in the Fermanagh border area – specifically in the areas of Cavan Road and Clones Road in Newtownbutler”.
The PSNI added: “The investigation is ongoing to determine the location of any such device but at this stage, the area has been searched and nothing has been found.”
