Robbery accused extradited from Germany to Northern Ireland: Man failed to show for trial in 2023
A man accused of robbery and possessing an offensive weapon is now back in Northern Ireland, after being extradited from Germany.
The 29-year-old man no-showed his 2023 trial on allegations of criminality in the Portrush area, but was arrested in Essen in the Rhine-Ruhr area in January.

A PSNI spokeswoman said extradition proceedings completed today with the wanted man’s “successful return to Northern Ireland”.
He’s due to appear in court tomorrow, stated the spokeswoman, on accusations dating back to 2018.
Stated Sergeant Davey from the PSNI’s International Policing Unit: “Today’s extradition demonstrates our commitment to tracking down fugitives wanted here in Northern Ireland.
“In this case we worked closely with national and international partners to locate, arrest and extradite this fugitive.
“Our message is clear to anyone who has skipped bail or left Northern Ireland to avoid the consequences of their actions. We will relentlessly pursue those that are trying to delay or deny justice to victims of crime.”
