Security alert: Police say suspicious object was 'elaborate hoax'
A security alert in the Co Fermanagh village of Newtownbutler is over, police have said.
Police and ammunition technical officers were tasked to Wattlebridge Road yesterday afternoon after a suspicious object was found.
"The security alert at Wattlebridge Road in Newtownbutler is over. ATO examined a suspicious object and declared it an elaborate hoax," a PSNI spokesperson said.
