Vicious attack leaves man with head, neck, arm and leg injuries

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of a serious assault in an alleyway in the Stoneburn Place area of Londonderry in the early hours of Saturday.

Police received a report around 2:40am that a man had been attacked and suffered injuries to his head, neck, arm and leg.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries where he remains in hospital.
