Charles Samuel Dornan was given a three month suspended prison sentence after being convicted of exposure.

The 61-year-old, of Pakenham Street, was arrested in the Dublin Road area on March 9 this year.

Belfast Magistrates’ Court heard police found Dornan standing on the payment, naked from the waist down, with his penis exposed.

Dornan was detained and taken into custody. During interviews he stated that he had little memory due to alcohol consumption, but expressed remorse.

Deputy District Judge Liam McStay acknowledged the defendant’s drinking played a part in the offence.

Imposing three months custody, he suspended the term for two years.
