Woman accused of Londonderry stab murder stayed with victim and performed CPR, court hears
Shauna Louise Pyper, of Primity Terrace, Newbuildings, is charged with the murder of 46-year-old Mr McNally on June 8.
She is further charged with possessing a knife with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Hide AdLononderry Magistrate’s Court heard the defendant denies the offences and told police she was “definitely not guilty”.
An investigating officer told the court she believed she could connect Pyper to the charges.
During cross-examination by defence solicitor Ciaran Shiels, the officer confirmed that Mr McNally sustained a single stab wound to the back which punctured his lung and caused a rapid death.
She also confirmed that Pyper called emergency services and remained with Mr McNally and performed CPR on him.

Hide AdMr Shiels asked whether police had received statements from Pyper’s family and a neighbour which suggest she was the victim of domestic abuse.
The officer confirmed these statements had outlined matters about “the defendant and her ex-partner’s past”.
There was no application for bail and the defendant was remanded in custody to appear in court again on July 8.
