Driver is killed in single vehicle road collision in Cookstown
The single-vehicle crash happened on Saturday.
Inspector Irvine of the PSNI said: “The one-vehicle collision, which took place on the Lough Fea Road and involved a Mini Cooper, was reported at 12.45pm.

Hide Ad“Officers, along with colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance, attended. Sadly a man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, was later pronounced dead at the scene.”
Insp Irvine added: “We are appealing to anyone who may have been on the Lough Fea Road, close to the turn off with the Churchtown Road, yesterday (Saturday) afternoon around the time of the collision, or anyone with dash cam footage, to get in touch with us.
“The investigation team can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference number 916 of 11/07/20.”

Hide AdThe Lough Fea Road in Cookstown was closed after the crash, with diversions in place at the junction with Coolreaghs Road and at the junction with Lissan Road. The road has since reopened.
